The pores in the fabric are about 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, however the pores are actually 700 times bigger than a droplet of water vapour , which means perspiration in the form of water vapour can easily pass out through the membrane. Therefore the fabric is breathable , whilst allowing the swimmer to remain dry and therefore mainting a better position in the water.

Yingfa has tested the costumes and have found that they improve performances by 8.5%.

"Goblin Shark"

 The Yingfa Goblin Shark has been approved by FINA . Yingfa has been advised by FINA, that the "modesty panel "in the 9205, will have to be removed, prior to competing at FINA approved swimming meets.

The Yingfa 9205 Goblin Shark is made from the "Water Strider" fabric. The "Water Strider" fabric is based on microscopic boomerang fabric that traps tiny air bubbles, allowing the swimmer to float better in the water. The fabric was utilised, after the discovery made by Xuefeng Gao and Lei Jiang of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and detailed in the 4th issue of the journal, "Nature".

Mr Jiang advised "The effect is like water off a duck's back"

It is very important to have the boomerang shapes facing the way the swimmer is moving, as air gets trapped in the nose of the boomerang material and then the shape of the boomerang will effect the flow of water, moving out and towards the back of the swimmer.  This will form an air cushion and therefore maintains the swimmers buoyancy.

This has allowed Yingfa to introduce the 9205 using the  water-resistant fabric, which results in drag-reducing and introduces fast propulsion qualities.

"Mackerel"

 The Yingfa 9102 Mackerel has been approved by FINA. Yingfa has been advised by FINA, that the "Modesty Panel" in the 9102, will have to be removed, prior to competing at FINA approved swimming meets. The textile fabric in the suit is water resistant because the fabric when knitted or woven tight provides a limited barrier between the body and the water.  The Yingfa 9102 Mackerel will reduce drag and allows the swimmer to sit higher in the water and therefore allows less drag and restrictions.The 9102 costumes for the young Australian swimmers, in the XXS & XS have arrived in Australia .
